Join a live match with a match code

By the end of this article, you will be watching the live score and match activity your coach or scorer is sharing.

Before you begin

  • VolleyTrack or VolleyTally installed on your phone or tablet. No account is needed to watch.
  • An internet connection. Spectator View is a live score and activity view—not a video stream.
  • The four-character match code (or QR code) from the coach or scorer.

Steps

  1. 1

Open VolleyTrack or VolleyTally and choose Watch a Live Match.

  2. 2

Enter the four-character match code exactly as it was shared—for example K7QM—or scan the QR code.

  3. 3

Choose a display name and, if you like, the players you want to cheer for.

  4. 4

Review the privacy note, then join the match.

What should happen: you see the current score, set progress, serving team, rotation, and recent match activity, updating as the scorer records the match.

If it does not work

  • A character is wrong. Codes are four characters and can contain letters and digits. Re-check each one with whoever shared it.
  • The match has ended or sharing stopped. Access is temporary. Ask the scorer whether the match is still being shared and request a new code.
  • Your connection dropped. Spectator View needs internet access on your device and the scorer's. Move to better coverage and rejoin.

An older shared code may contain four to six characters; legacy entry accepts both.

Privacy note

Your cheering choices stay private. If you post in Fan Zone, your chosen display name and message are visible to people watching this match. Live details reflect the scorer's entries and may update after a correction or network delay.
